Production Designer

While at Eclipse Advertising Emma was part of the dedicated Disney team who worked on everything from file management to out-of-home billboards, bus advertisements, digital streaming platform assets, and more! They made sure everything was delivered on time, named correctly, and met the high Disney standard. From Frozen 2 to Soul, and Mandalorian to Avengers Endgame, she knows how high the stakes can get with beloved titles and characters.

She also worked with the Netflix team at BrandingIron Worldwide (BIW) to create and organize projects for Netflix partners around the world. Responsible for assets in multiple languages for Netflix Originals, Emma helped lead the team to meet and surpass expectations. Alongside digital platform assets, the team created and updated presentations for internal use, asset management, and collaboration. These decks gave vital visuals for meetings that lead to legendary marketing campaigns like Stranger Things x Domino’s, explanation of major successes like Squid Game and Bridgerton, and Netflix internal updates so everyone was on the same page.

Riot Society Clothing

During this 2-month internship Emma was able to work with Riot Society’s Senior Graphic Designer to create artwork for their Jaws and Halloween Collections, among others.

The licensing from Universal Pictures allowed the team to come up with their own unique twist on the classic movies everyone knows and loves. With the shark from Jaws showing up in the Great Wave of Japan, or Michael Myers slicing a jack-o-lantern with a katana, it seems no one is safe!

Music

Music

Woosung

Woosung is a Korean-American musician, singer, songwriter, and composer, best known for being the vocalist and electric guitarist of the chart-topping South Korean band, The Rose.

Described as “the ultimate summer anthem,” before its release, Lazy was described to Emma as a chill song with relatable lyrics. It reminds people of productive laziness that can help to recharge and take care of ourselves when life seems to be going crazy. The beginning of the music video takes place in an unkempt bedroom, and an important element throughout the music video is his phone - which features rapper, Reddy, later performing inside. Woosung also made the special request to include his dog Woolfy on the cover, and Emma couldn’t resist.

Lana Love

Lana Love is an American singer, songwriter, and artist who has performed live at the Redlands Bowl, opened for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Cheat Codes, the Wu Tang Clan, and many more. She also has credits with networks such as Netflix, Disney, Warner Bros., Discovery Channel, and Telemundo.

In 2022, Lana made her largest US debut on the popular competition series, “The Voice”, and released her single “Parachute”. The song is tuned to the healing frequency of 432 Hz and is about forgiveness and detachment. She described the “parachutes” as symbolizing the safety net of people who are waiting you to come down because they don’t believe you can fly on your own, and so snipping the strings leads to freedom. In order to stay consistent with Lana’s collaboration with Ilana M. Schwartz on an animation for the song (more well known as Java Doodles online), Emma used Ilana’s sketchy style as the main source of inspiration to create a the simple, minimalistic, and hand-drawn look.

Beca

Beca is an NYC to LA transplant who creates sensual and emotive pop as an artist, composer, and producer. She graduated from the Juilliard School and explores avant-garde electronic music and composes for amplified string instruments.

Beca had a very clear vision for what she wanted the cover for “The Secrets That We Keep” to look like, and this allowed Emma to create the main cover and and its alternate for RhythmDB’s remix quickly and efficiently.

Cedric D

Cedric D is an EDM/Chill Pop music producer and DJ based in California. He DJs in the bay area at festivals, clubs and art galleries, and his music is reminiscent of the 80’s and 90’s.

His collaboration with Beca, “We’re Made of Stars”, was described as “forward-feeling and sounds like a journey”. Cedric D wanted to appeal to both men and women, and be bright while looking like the couple was in space. He also requested for an alternate version / color-way in case he released an instrumental version of the song without Beca’s lyrics in the future.

FIDM's MODE Magazine

FIDM's MODE Magazine

FIDM MODE is a magazine by FIDM Students for FIDM Students promoting awareness on design, student life, and current events. Published and produced on campus, students from all majors interested in expressing themselves through creative writing, graphic design, and photography are encouraged to pitch, write, and photograph editorials for FIDM MODE.

Topics include everything from fashion and beauty to student projects and job searching tips. The team meets weekly to discuss story ideas, photoshoot logistics, and story-planning.

Thrust into the middle of the already-ongoing 12th issue, Emma had to adapt quickly to the team dynamic while also learning how to lead with the Editor in Chief. The 9 board members worked together with 130+ students and faculty to create the element-inspired magazine. At the time it was credited to be one of the most creatively-ambitious with 16 total stories that included editorial photoshoots, how-to’s, poetry, illustration, and multiple interviews.

In a similar fashion to the previous issue, Emma was brought onto 13th magazine board part-way through in order to complete the project and bring in an experienced perspective. The publication included more content from the other FIDM campuses in San Francisco, San Diego and Orange County (over 200 students included), and explored the fashion and layout design from past decades.

Emma was brought onto the 14th MODE board right away and led the team with the Editor in Chief to create one of the most successful and elaborate magazines to come out of FIDM. It was the first to have a photoshoot with 16 models, drone photography, experimental solargraphy, and made sure to shed light on multiple under-recognized FIDM majors, with Textile Science taking the cover. This team was praised for being the most organized and collaborative the advisors had seen in years, and the board members still keep in touch even years later.
